Another eventful week in the majors... Bonds hit #750, Sabathia's the first one to 12, and the Mariners have won eight straight. But, the highlight of the week is that we crowned another weekly winner in my Battle of the Blogs contest... ...

Last week was eventful... Verlander threw a no-hitter, Bonds hit number 748, and the Yankees are now above .500. On the flip side, the Rangers have the worst record in the majors, and the Orioles have now lost 8 straight. ...

It was a strange week in the majors... a lot of games went to extra innings and quite a few good pitchers had down weeks or didn't get much run support. It's a long season so those things are going to happen from time to time. ...

Surprise, surprise... a starting pitcher born in 1962 had to have his 1st start of the season pushed back to June 9th due to an ailing groin. Not a good start, but very understandable if you ask me. ...

Another week of major league action has come to a close. Some teams are streaking upwards, and others are heading south. The Angels and Padres have each won 8 of their last 10, while the Astros have only notched one "W", and the Reds have only come out on top twice in their last 10 games. ...

Lots of action this last week in the big leagues... the Red Sox not only have the best record in the majors, they're the only team in the AL East above .500. And, the Nats have won 7 of their last 10, but still own the worst record in Major League Baseball. ...

another one starts up today. The Red Sox and Brewers now each have 25 wins, while the Royals and Nationals have each reached the less impressive 25 losses mark. ...
